<h2 class="centertext">Welcome to the CoP CoVEs</h2>
<h5>In a world of ultra-rapid change, we need robust vocational and professional education to build a sustainable future. Through the Erasmus+ Centers of Vocational Excellence, educators, businesses and governments are working together to do so. Based on the believe that together we get further than alone, the project leaders of all Erasmus Centers of Vocational Excellence have joined forces in the Community of Practice of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoP CoVEs). In this community they share experiences, inspire each other and jointly try to find solutions for common issues they encounter while implementing the Centres of Vocational Excellence. </h5>
<h5>By doing so, the project leaders are supporting each other and no one has to reinvent the wheel. The CoP CoVEs is a bottom up initiative by and for the CoVE project leaders and participation is voluntary. We are more than happy to welcome project leaders of future Erasmus+ Centres of Vocational Excellence in their midst and to share experiences of the existing CoVEs. The project leaders aim to meet once a year face to face during the Forum on Vocational Excellence and have monthly online thematic discussions, based on the needs of the project leaders. The Community of Practice is independent and self-sustaining, based on the voluntary contributions of its members. Furthermore, the Community of Practice is working closely with other stakeholders and policy makers in the field of VET and higher education.</h5>

The pink markers indicate already existing Erasmus+ Centers of Vocational Excellence, blue markers are national CoVE initiatives. By clicking on the markers you find more information, including contact details of each CoVE. Via 'search' you can filter on starting year, sector or search based on key words.</p>

<h2>What's a CoVE?</h2>
<p>According to the <a href="https://www.cedefop.europa.eu/en/tools/vet-glossary/glossary/cenniscentrum-beroepsonderwijs">European Commission</a>, a Centre of Vocational Excellence is an ecosystem of local education and training stakeholders, such as VET providers, employers, research centres, development agencies, and employment services who cooperate to develop high quality curricula and qualifications focused on sectoral skill needs, and contribute to regional, economic and social development, innovation, and smart specialisation strategies.</p>
