<h3>FIDM’s legacy and transition</h3><p dir="ltr">Since its founding in 1969, FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) has been a hub of learning, growth, and opportunity for countless students, faculty, and staff. Over the past five decades, its impact has been felt across the fashion and creative industries.</p><p dir="ltr">Arizona State University (ASU) is carrying forward FIDM’s mission of preparing students for successful careers in the industry. With a strong commitment to student success and the academic excellence of ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, ASU ensures that FIDM lives on. ASU FIDM offers four-year fashion degrees in Los Angeles and Phoenix, building on FIDM’s enduring legacy—a legacy shaped by generations of talented alumni who continue to make their mark on the industry.</p><h3><strong>Resources for alumni and former students </strong></h3><p>ASU FIDM Alumni Benefits: All FIDM alumni are welcomed into the ASU Alumni network, gaining lifetime access to career services, professional connections, and alumni benefits.<br><span><br><a class="btn btn-maroon" href="https://asufidm.asu.edu/fidm-alumni"><span class="text"><span>Learn More About Alumni Benefits</span></span></a></span></p><h4><strong>As of March 31, 2025, the independent institution known as the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (“FIDM”) officially closed its educational programs. </strong></h4><p>FIDM was a private college in Los Angeles, California, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Arizona State University, through a partnership with Parchment, will become the Custodian of Records for FIDM to provide former students and graduates with continuing access to their educational records.</p><p><strong>Effective July 15, 2025, all transcript requests will be processed through </strong><a href="https://www.parchment.com/u/registration/34830/institution"><strong>Parchment</strong></a><strong>.</strong><span> </span></p><p>Please note:</p><p>Digitized transcript records are available from the early 1980s on. If Parchment is unable to fulfill your request, your order will be canceled and refunded.</p><p>Replacement diplomas are not available. Only transcript requests can be supported.</p>
