In the ACC Miami (Fla.) broke their record by playing the most difficult SOS in Hurricane history with a rating of 154.700 shattering the old record of &nbsp;109.590 set in 2017. In the Big 12 BYU broke their SOS record and came in second in the all time best team behind the 1984 National Champions. Texas Tech had their best season in history. But it was the SEC that scored big with 6 teams breaking records of some kind, especially Alabama who played the hardest schedule in college football history with a rating of 157.950, beating out LSU of 2019. Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Mississippi State broke records for SOS while Vanderbilt was the big winner scoring the best in history in both categories.&nbsp;
With more games being played against stronger opposition, I'm sure this trend will continue in the coming years. We are already in mid-April (I turn 75 on April 14). it won't be long before the 2026 magazines will be on the stands and the race for the 2026 crown will be underway. I say &ldquo;bring it on&rdquo;!</p>

It's like a fairytale, a dream come true for the Hoosiers, the absolute worst team in the FBS just two years ago can now take their place among the greatest teams of all time. Only LSU's 2019 team which finished with 408.050 will be ahead of #2 Indiana's 397.424. The Hoosiers bump 2020 Alabama to #3 All-Time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Changes are coming to CFRC.com in 2026. Stay tuned for exciting forthcoming information. The 2025 season will soon begin to be added to the All-Time Score section of the Encyclopedia, plus the list of National Champions will be updated soon. 2025 was one of the most enjoyable seasons in recent memory, maybe my poor health, and the gratitude I have for being alive to see it contributed to that feeling. On December 31 Ohio State will meet Miami (Fla.) in the Cotton Bowl while on Saturday a trio of games will take place as the day unfolds. In the early game the Orange Bowl will feature Oregon and Texas Tech followed by the Rose Bowl where Alabama will meet Indiana. The Sugar Bowl is the late game and is a rematch of the SEC's hard fought regular season game of Georgia and Ole Miss.&nbsp;&nbsp;Several other Bowl Games continue to be played, scattered out through the week all the way to January 2. The Semi-Final is set for January 8 and 9 and the Championship on January 19. The next Billingsley Report will be posted after the quarter-finals. <p class="hidden mt-3 leading-4 text-sm text-gray-500 lg:line-clamp-2">I've always said it was Roy Kramer who made me famous, and it's true. When he invited me to join the BCS in the organization's second season the statistics on my website soared to over 1 million users each of the 16 years I was a member. “Be prepared for almost anything Richard”, He warned. Was he ever right. I received death threats so serious the FBI got involved. I was burned in effigy on the California campus and threatened with bodily harm almost every day. So much for being famous. Roy was there, standing beside me every time the heat got too hot. He was a dear friend and I will miss him. College Football lost a giant. Without Roy Kramer we would not have conference championship games, and the National Championship would still be in the hands of the AP and UPI rather than being decided on the field of play. It took years of delicate negotiations to bring the BCS into reality and he was the only man with the patience and power to do it. God Bless Roy Kramer. He died December 4, 2025 at the age of 96. &nbsp;&nbsp;The next Billingsley Report will be released on December 28, right before the CFP Quarter Finals are played. Alabama, Ole Miss, Oregon and Miami (Fla.) were victorious in the first round. The Report on the 28th will include those new ratings as well as all the Bowl Games played through December 27th.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="hidden mt-3 leading-4 text-sm text-gray-500 lg:line-clamp-2">In a mistake ridden game Army made the last mistake, proving to be the difference in the final outcome. The Cadets threw an interception with a little over two minutes left and suddenly the Navy offense began to click, scoring the winning touchdown, then running the clock out. The stunned Army team could only watch as the final seconds ticked off the clock. Navy's defense was spectacular in the second half completely shutting down the Army running game. The win won the Commander-in-Chiefs Trophy for Navy for the second consecutive year.&nbsp;The first bowl game of the season was played last night and saw Washington runaway with a 38-10 win. Washington finished the season 9-4, Boise State fell to 9-5. The Broncos join the expanded PAC 12 next year.&nbsp;The next rankings will not be released until December 27 in order to include the CFP First Round, and as many Bowl Games that can be played before the Quarter Finals.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

The Hoosiers were not intimidated by the defending National Champion Buckeyes. &nbsp;The Indiana defense smothered the buckeyes at every turn and as the game wore on into the 4th quarter mistakes by Ohio State made the difference, missing a short field goal to tie the game proved to be what gave Indiana all they needed to hang on to the hard fought brilliantly coached game. The loss will barely effect Ohio States playoff chances. It simply means they start #2 instead of #1.&nbsp;&nbsp;Around the Nation: Conference Championship games played out as were expected except Duke who upset Virginia for the ACC Crown. The Bludevils however will not enter the CFP as James Madison will finish ranked higher, thus voiding the ACC automatic bid. The 12 playoff teams, plus the Bowl Games will be announced beginning at 11AM CT today on ESPN. Projections for Army/Navy will post tomorrow and the Bowl Games the next week. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Ohio State was just too good and overwhelmed the Wolverines 27-9, breaking a 4 game losing streak to “that team up North” as the beloved Woody Hayes used to say. The featured picture today is one of the McVay family, Ryan, Andrea, Johnathan and Andrew outside the Horseshoe for last week's Rutgers game. Ryan is the designer and developer of the CFRC. &nbsp;&nbsp;The conference games are now set and will be played this coming weekend. Friday features the MWC where UNLV will travel to Boise State. North Texas will go to Tulane for the American, Kennesaw State will travel to Jacksonville State in the C-USA and in the Sun Belt Troy will go to James Madison .On Saturday BYU and Texas Tech will tangle in Arlington while #1 Ohio State and #2 Indiana will meet in Indianapolis. What a treat. Detroit will host Western Michigan and &nbsp;Miami (Ohio) for the MAC. In the SEC Georgia and Alabama will slug it out in Atlanta, and Virginia and Duke will meet in Charlotte for the ACC crown.&nbsp;&nbsp;Projections will post Tuesday.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="hidden mt-3 leading-4 text-sm text-gray-500 lg:line-clamp-2">The Buckeyes were only out of the top spot a short time and this week playing a stronger opponent was all it took to jump Texas A&amp;M by a fraction of a point. Ohio State played Rutgers and the Aggies played Samford.&nbsp;&nbsp;Around the Nation: Things are winding down, rivalry week is upon us and those results will give us the participants in the conference championship games. Just about every conference is still up for grabs. &nbsp;In the ACC Georgia Tech took a beating from Pittsburgh, falling to the Panthers 42-28. SMU destroyed Louisville 38-6 and Miami (Fla.) shutdown Virginia Tech 34-17. In the Big 10 Oregon crushed USC 42-27 and Michigan beat Maryland 45-20. Michigan and Ohio State meet Saturday. In the Big 12 Texas Tech was idle while BYU edged Cincinnati 26-14. Utah made a furious comeback to beat Kansas State 51-47 and TCU surprised Houston 17-14. In the SEC most everyone played their November “sluff” games but Oklahoma beat Missouri 17-6. If the Sooners beat LSU Saturday they will most likely enter the CFP. Vanderbilt moved to 9-2 by running all over Kentucky 45-17. If the Commodores beat Tennessee Saturday they will end up with the best team in Vanderbilt history. And Texas downed old SWC arch rival Arkansas 52-37.&nbsp;&nbsp;Projections post Tuesday. Have a happy Thanksgiving!&nbsp;</p>
