I’ve softened the under-bust line (it was a bit too high and pointy before) and made a big pivot on the cup construction.
I switched to a horizontal dart, which means you're adding fabric in rows rather than stitches. This keeps the width of the top consistent while giving the bust the room it needs, especially for sizes past a C cup.
I’ve seen a few questions about making your own version based on my process. Please, go for it! My approach to knitting is all about recreating the things i love. I don’t own the concept of an under-bust detail, and I’m just happy to inspire your own projects. Hope these photos help if you're trying to reverse engineer this design!

With all of its challenges, I did learn two things that I’ll take with me for the rest of my knitting journey:
✳️ Saddle construction is superior to raglan. It has a better fit, and you still get the contiguous top-down knitting that you have with a raglan construction. I’m ready to fight you if you disagree 👊🏻
✳️ Doing two rows of double knitting before an Italian bind-off lends itself to a beautifully round edge. Will do that for all of my Italian bind-offs.
I’m currently working on writing this pattern. Still not sure if I want it to be a button or zipper closure, oooor should I just include both options in the pattern? I’m very much in the beginning stages, so there’s still a lot to figure out." aria-hidden="true">

i forgot to say this in the video bnut when you look up pattern block tutorials they usually have darts because they've been drafted for woven fabrics which dont have any stretch. You can look up pattern block for knit, which woint have those darts.
