I was a little apprehensive initially since I hadn't heard of this company and couldn't find to much online about them, but I did everything in canva and uploaded and printed through mixam and I couldn't be happier with the results! I will definitely use them in the future! The only thing to take note of is that the shipment dates might change, so if you need something ASAP that might be frustrating. For me it was fine because I didn't need the product by a certain date. </p>

<p class="card-text truncate-lines-3">I am so happy that I found Mixam! I needed a printer that would be able to handle mature content, and most printers won't accept that kind of content. It was so easy to use their designer to build the book (partial photo, partial text) and place the order. When the book arrived, I was VERY happy with the quality. The only reason I'm giving a 4 rather than a 5 is because it took longer from order to receiving the item (about two weeks, which honestly isn't too bad but it was a small book so I thought it would be a bit quicker) than I hoped; and the margins didn't print exactly as I expected based on the builder's guides, and I would have liked for it to be a bit clearer what would be visible and what would be hidden under the binding. But it worked out, and I'm still happy with the product! </p>

<p class="card-text truncate-lines-3">I tried several other vendors for printing a small hardcover book that I had designed in InDesign, and they were all nightmares. Terrible user experiences, hideous websites, no way to upload pre-designed pdfs, limited size options, customer support calls with very dumb people that kept getting disconnected...you get the idea. The Mixam experience was a dream. I found clear, helpful templates and specs (that included custom spine width!) and easily uploaded my pdfs. The preview tool worked perfectly. And when I had a question I spoke with a very helpful, smart support person. The books arrived even earlier than expected and my client was thrilled. </p>

<p class="card-text truncate-lines-3">I tried a number of book publish websites - Mixam's was the best in terms of showing me what the book would ultimately look like. The tool was a little frustrating: 3 pages in my PDF had been rotated landscape and this totally flummoxed the tool until I changed the PDF to rotate them portrait like the other pages. You have to tell the tool at the very beginning the exact number of pages in your PDF - not sure why it can't just figure it out from the uploaded PDF, and/or let you add/remove pages as necessary. After a while I got all of the tool frustrations figured out and proceeded with printing. Not sure why the book had to sit 'in production' for almost 2 weeks before they finally printed it. With that said... once printed the book shipped right away and the quality of the book was outstanding. I'd definintely use Mixam again. </p>

The only minor complaint I have is I wish there was a way to upload & preview full-cover layouts since there is a template provided for it. Instead, I had to break it up into front, back & spine, which caused things to not line up as expected, despite following the templates.
However, this wasn't a huge deal and it still came out great!</p>

The site is very easy to navigate and provides customers with a number of templates to choose from in terms of book/paper type, size, color, number of pages and book cover.
I had trouble uploading the final file given its size, but the team at Mixam was super helpful - they walked me through the steps and in a few minutes my file was up and ready for my approval to print. The printing was finalized ahead of the schedule and dispatched soon after, and I had my gift ready for the occasion. My daughter loved her personal coffee table book, which, I know, she will read and re-read many times in the years to come!
Totally recommend this company! </p>
