<p>When Spinhead Web Design launched in 1999, I already had 4 years of experience with web technologies and 20 years of experience with computers before that. I've worked with computers for nearly 45 years; it was my father's career. </p>

<p>As a Gen X'er, I am not intimidated by technology. My day job involves typing on my laptop 40 hours a week. I know how to do what I have to do when it comes to computers and for those times when I don't know how to do something, I am quite proficient at Googling things. This everyday comfort with "techy" things does not, however, spill over to creating things like websites or blogs.</p>
<p>Which is why, when I finally decided to do something about the persistent ideas that refused to vacate my mind, I realized I was going to need a professional to help me bring them to fruition. So, I asked Joel if he would help me. And he did.</p>
