<span id="MPFirstLesson" style="display:none"><p>
And he said to me, "Son of man, go, get you to the house of Israel,
and speak with my words to them. 5 For you are not sent to a people of
foreign speech and a hard language, but to the house of Israel-- 6 not
to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you
cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to such, they would listen to
you. 7 But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they are
not willing to listen to me; because all the house of Israel are of a
hard forehead and of a stubborn heart. 8 Behold, I have made your face
hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their
foreheads. 9 Like adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead;
fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a
rebellious house." 10 Moreover he said to me, "Son of man, all my
words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with
your ears. 11 And go, get you to the exiles, to your people, and say
to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD'; whether they hear or refuse to
hear." 12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and as the glory of the LORD
arose from its place, I heard behind me the sound of a great
earthquake; 13 it was the sound of the wings of the living creatures
as they touched one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them,
that sounded like a great earthquake. 14 The Spirit lifted me up and
took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the
hand of the LORD being strong upon me; 15 and I came to the exiles at
Tel-abib, who dwelt by the river Chebar. And I sat there overwhelmed
among them seven days. 16 And at the end of seven days, the word of
the LORD came to me: 17 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for
the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall
give them warning from me. 18 If I say to the wicked, 'You shall
surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked
from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked man shall
die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 But
if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or
from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you will have
saved your life. 20 Again, if a righteous man turns from his
righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before
him, he shall die; because you have not warned him, he shall die for
his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be
remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. 21 Nevertheless
if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he
shall surely live, because he took warning; and you will have saved
your life." 22 And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said
to me, "Arise, go forth into the plain, and there I will speak with
you." 23 So I arose and went forth into the plain; and, lo, the glory
of the LORD stood there, like the glory which I had seen by the river
Chebar; and I fell on my face. 24 But the Spirit entered into me, and
set me upon my feet; and he spoke with me and said to me, "Go, shut
yourself within your house. 25 And you, O son of man, behold, cords
will be placed upon you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you
cannot go out among the people; 26 and I will make your tongue cleave
to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be dumb and unable to
reprove them; for they are a rebellious house. 27 But when I speak
with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus
says the Lord GOD'; he that will hear, let him hear; and he that will
refuse to hear, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

Now it is superfluous for me to write to you about the offering for
the saints, 2 for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to
the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last
year; and your zeal has stirred up most of them. 3 But I am sending
the brethren so that our boasting about you may not prove vain in this
case, so that you may be ready, as I said you would be; 4 lest if some
Macedonians come with me and find that you are not ready, we be
humiliated--to say nothing of you--for being so confident. 5 So I
thought it necessary to urge the brethren to go on to you before me,
and arrange in advance for this gift you have promised, so that it may
be ready not as an exaction but as a willing gift. 6 The point is
this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows
bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must do as he has
made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a
cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to provide you with every blessing
in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may
provide in abundance for every good work. 9 As it is written, "He
scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures for
ever." 10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will
supply and multiply your resources and increase the harvest of your
righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way for great
generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God; 12 for
the rendering of this service not only supplies the wants of the
saints but also overflows in many thanksgivings to God. 13 Under the
test of this service, you will glorify God by your obedience in
acknowledging the gospel of Christ, and by the generosity of your
contribution for them and for all others; 14 while they long for you
and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God in you. 15
Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!

<span id="EPFirstLesson" style="display:none"><p>
In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month,
as I sat in my house, with the elders of Judah sitting before me, the
hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. 2 Then I beheld, and, lo, a
form that had the appearance of a man; below what appeared to be his
loins it was fire, and above his loins it was like the appearance of
brightness, like gleaming bronze. 3 He put forth the form of a hand,
and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between
earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to
the entrance of the gateway of the inner court that faces north, where
was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy. 4
And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision
that I saw in the plain. 5 Then he said to me, "Son of man, lift up
your eyes now in the direction of the north." So I lifted up my eyes
toward the north, and behold, north of the altar gate, in the
entrance, was this image of jealousy. 6 And he said to me, "Son of
man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the
house of Israel are committing here, to drive me far from my
sanctuary? But you will see still greater abominations." 7 And he
brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, there
was a hole in the wall. 8 Then said he to me, "Son of man, dig in the
wall"; and when I dug in the wall, lo, there was a door. 9 And he said
to me, "Go in, and see the vile abominations that they are committing
here." 10 So I went in and saw; and there, portrayed upon the wall
round about, were all kinds of creeping things, and loathsome beasts,
and all the idols of the house of Israel. 11 And before them stood
seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, with Ja-azaniah the
son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had his censer in his hand,
and the smoke of the cloud of incense went up. 12 Then he said to me,
"Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are
doing in the dark, every man in his room of pictures? For they say,
'The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.'" 13 He
said also to me, "You will see still greater abominations which they
commit." 14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of
the house of the LORD; and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
15 Then he said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? You will see
still greater abominations than these." 16 And he brought me into the
inner court of the house of the LORD; and behold, at the door of the
temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about
twenty-five men, with their backs to the temple of the LORD, and their
faces toward the east, worshiping the sun toward the east. 17 Then he
said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too slight a
thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they
commit here, that they should fill the land with violence, and provoke
me further to anger? Lo, they put the branch to their nose. 18
Therefore I will deal in wrath; my eye will not spare, nor will I have
pity; and though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not
hear them."

Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high
priest's house. Peter followed at a distance; 55 and when they had
kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together,
Peter sat among them. 56 Then a maid, seeing him as he sat in the
light and gazing at him, said, "This man also was with him." 57 But he
denied it, saying, "Woman, I do not know him." 58 And a little later
some one else saw him and said, "You also are one of them." But Peter
said, "Man, I am not." 59 And after an interval of about an hour still
another insisted, saying, "Certainly this man also was with him; for
he is a Galilean." 60 But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are
saying." And immediately, while he was still speaking, the cock
crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter
remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, "Before the
cock crows today, you will deny me three times." 62 And he went out
and wept bitterly. 63 Now the men who were holding Jesus mocked him
and beat him; 64 they also blindfolded him and asked him, "Prophesy!
Who is it that struck you?" 65 And they spoke many other words against
him, reviling him. 66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the
people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led
him away to their council, and they said, 67 "If you are the Christ,
tell us." But he said to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe;
68 and if I ask you, you will not answer. 69 But from now on the Son
of man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God." 70 And
they all said, "Are you the Son of God, then?" And he said to them,

<h2>About the new "Print" feature</h2>
<p>It has always been possible to print out a formatted version
of Morning or Evening Prayer. This can be done using your browser's
"Print" feature after selecting the desired Psalm
option, whether to display music or text for those canticles with
supplied music and for the Marian Antiphon after Evening Prayer,
whether to say "Save the State" or "Save the King", removing
the <i>Phos Hilaron</i> and all the other options that are available
by clicking in various places on the text.
</p><p>
Now, to make things simple, the new "Print"
button will let you download a PDF of the current office with a
pre-selected standard set of options. The PDF is formatted as a booklet,
intended to be printed landscape, two-sided, short-edge binding, and then
folded in half and optionally stapled in the middle.
</p><p>
To use this, just click the button.

<p><center><i>The Athanasian Creed.<br><small>(Quicunque Vult)</small></i></center>
<p class=canticle><b>WHOSOEVER</b> will be saved : before all things it is necessary that he hold the Catholic Faith.</p>
<p class=canticle>Which Faith except everyone do keep whole and undefiled : without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.</p>
<p class=canticle>And the Catholic Faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;</p>
<p class=canticle>Neither confounding the Persons : nor dividing the Substance.</p>
<p class=canticle>For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son : and another of the Holy Ghost.</p>
<p class=canticle>But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one : the Glory equal, the Majesty co-eternal.</p>
<p class=canticle>Such as the Father is, such is the Son : and such is the Holy Ghost.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Father uncreate, the Son uncreate : and the Holy Ghost uncreate.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible : and the Holy Ghost incomprehensible.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Father eternal, the Son eternal : and the Holy Ghost eternal.</p>
<p class=canticle>And yet they are not three eternals : but one eternal.</p>
<p class=canticle>As also there are not three incomprehensibles, nor three uncreated : but one uncreated, and one incomprehensible.</p>
<p class=canticle>So likewise the Father is Almighty, the Son Almighty : and the Holy Ghost Almighty.</p>
<p class=canticle>And yet they are not three Almighties : but one Almighty.</p>
<p class=canticle>So the Father is God, the Son is God : and the Holy Ghost is God.</p>
<p class=canticle>And yet they are not three Gods : but one God.</p>
<p class=canticle>So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord : and the Holy Ghost Lord.</p>
<p class=canticle>And yet not three Lords : but one Lord.</p>
<p class=canticle>For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity : to acknowledge every Person by himself to be both God and Lord;</p>
<p class=canticle>So are we forbidden by the Catholic Religion : to say there be three Gods, or three Lords.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Father is made of none : neither created nor begotten.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Son is of the Father alone : not made, nor created, but begotten.</p>
<p class=canticle>The Holy Ghost is of the Father and of the Son : neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.</p>
<p class=canticle>So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons : one Holy Ghost, not three Holy Ghosts.</p>
<p class=canticle>And in this Trinity none is afore, or after other : none is greater, or less than another;</p>
<p class=canticle>But the whole three Persons are co-eternal together : and co-equal.</p>
<p class=canticle>So that in all things, as is aforesaid : the Unity in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped.</p>
<p class=canticle>He therefore that will be saved : must thus think of the Trinity.</p>
<p class=canticle>Furthermore it is necessary to everlasting salvation : that he also believe rightly the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ.</p>
<p class=canticle>For the right Faith is : that we believe and confess that our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is God and Man;</p>
<p class=canticle>God, of the substance of the Father, begotten before the worlds : and Man, of the substance of his Mother, born in the world;</p>
<p class=canticle>Perfect God, and perfect Man : of a reasonable soul and human flesh subsisting;</p>
<p class=canticle>Equal to the Father, as touching his Godhead : and inferior to the Father, as touching his Manhood.</p>
<p class=canticle>Who although he be God and Man : yet he is not two, but one Christ;</p>
<p class=canticle>One, not by conversion of the Godhead into flesh : but by taking of the Manhood into God;</p>
<p class=canticle>One altogether, not by confusion of Substance : but by unity of Person.</p>
<p class=canticle>For as the reasonable soul and flesh is one man : So God and Man is one Christ;</p>
<p class=canticle>Who suffered for our salvation : descended into hell, rose again the third day from the dead.</p>
<p class=canticle>He ascended into heaven, he sitteth on the right hand of the Father, God Almighty : from whence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.</p>
<p class=canticle>At whose coming all men shall rise again with their bodies : and shall give account for their own works.</p>
<p class=canticle>And they that have done good shall go into life everlasting : and they that have done evil into everlasting fire.</p>
<p class=canticle>This is the Catholic Faith : which except a man believe faithfully, he cannot be saved.</p>
<p class=half-space></p>

* The Lectionary is that specified in the
<a href="http://ordo.covert.org/cspordo" target=_blank>official Ordo for the
Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter</a>. We generally use the 30-day
traditional Psalm cycle from the Prayer Book, as permitted by the
Ordinariate Lectionary, but we list for reference the alternate Psalm cycle
in the Lectionary. We use the Psalms from the Lectionary on Christmas,
Epiphany, The Purification, Ash Wednesday, The Annunciation, Palm Sunday
and Holy Week, Easter Day, Ascension Day, Whitsunday, Trinity Sunday, The
Transfiguration, All Saints, Thanksgiving Day, and the Solemnity of Title
or of the Patron of the Place. We may also use the Psalm from the
lectionary at other times, especially Saturdays, Sundays, or the 31st day
of the month at the discretion of the Officiant.
