<p>Tonia Carless’s collaborative visual research investigating house moving in Västerbotten and Norrland will be exhibited in the UmArts Research Studio. The project investigates wholesale structural moving of buildings in the north of Sweden documenting over 400 moves made by one house-mover (husflyttningar).</p>

<p>UmArts is leading on Umeå University’s program for the summit working with the Arctic Centre, Várdduo Centre for Sámi Research, Tráhppie Sami Cultural Centre and the UArctic University. We are hosting six panel discussions as part of the Summit program on the topics of: Resilient Radio, Crafting Knowledge, Art and Mining, Art and Truth Telling, Deposing Geo-engineering, and Sustainable Transformation through land based art and education.</p>

Followed by fika and conversation on Teaching Art in the Arctic for university art tutors, led by Lisa Nyberg, Artist and Associate Professor at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, 15.30-17.00. The exhibition will be open to view on Thursday 18 June 14.00-16.00.</p>
